Inside – Everything you need to know about the Briar Rose Triangle Scarf Crochet Pattern so you can make your own this autumn!
As the cool breeze of autumn settles in, a cozy triangle scarf becomes an essential accessory for both style and warmth. This versatile piece can be draped over your shoulders, or wrapped around your neck, adding a chic layer to your seasonal wardrobe. With a light, earthy color like dusty rose, the Briar Rose Triangle Scarf not only complements the autumnal palette but also provides a functional fashion statement. The soft, crocheted fabric ensures comfort while its unique shape allows for creative styling options, making it a must-have for any autumn outing.

Inspiration for this Triangle Scarf Crochet Pattern
Admittedly, the name for this crochet pattern came to me after I designed the scarf, fully tested it, and desperately needed a name. The dusty pink of the Autumn Rose colorway reminded me of my favorite princess – Sleeping Beauty. So, as I kept fine tuning the pattern, I kept testing “Briar Rose” as a name.
In the story of Sleeping Beauty, I related so well with a teenage girl growing up without knowing she was a long hidden princess. Like, maybe, just maybe, I’d wake up on my 16th birthday with a tiara and a kingdom. Alas, that dream did not come true. But I thought it would be lovely to crochet a pattern collection reminiscent of Briar Rose and her destiny.
The Moss Stitch combined with light textured stitches give the Briar Rose Triangle Scarf Crochet Pattern a cottage-core aesthetic. Something I think Aurora would definitely wear. Thankfully, no fairies kept changing the color from pink to blue to mismatched pink/blue. I’d consider this pattern an Intermediate level because of creating a triangle, and crocheting into the 3rd Loop / Slip Stitches. However, if you’re an advanced beginner, give it a try! There’s a FULL video tutorial to help you with each step of this triangle scarf crochet pattern.

Yarn + Substitutes
I used a hand dyed yarn in 100% Superwash Merino Wool. If you’re not sensitive to wool yarn, I highly recommend giving a 100% SW Merino Wool a try. Crocheting autumn and winter accessories in wool yarn has changed my life. The warmth I retain while wearing wool exponentially outweighs the warmth I retain when I wear an acrylic or nylon accessory. If you’re looking for a crocheted accessory to be fully functional this autumn, you won’t go wrong with a 100% SW Merino Wool.
For this triangle scarf, you will need approximately 532yds in a DK (category 3) weight yarn. I’m using the Autumn Rose colorway from my Etsy Shop. You can browse this colorway here.
