Today, I am sharing my Puff Stitch Crochet Tutorial since this stitch is increasingly popular. It is also becoming my favorite way to add texture, and flair to my crochet pieces. If you are ready to learn with me, then, go grab your favorite hook and yarn to meet me below.

First, yarn over your hook.
Second, insert hook into the next stitch and pull up one loop.
There are 3 loops on your hook.
Next, yarn over and insert your hook into the SAME stitch. Yarn over and pull up a loop.
There are now 5 loops on your hook.

Again, yarn over and insert the hook into the SAME STITCH. Yarn over and pull up a loop.
There are 7 loops on your hook.

Finally, yarn over and pull through all 7 loops on the hook.

Now, you can keep crocheting along! However, be aware when you’re working a pattern with the Puff Stitch. Sometimes pattern designers will include a Slip Stitch at the very end to “close” the Puff Stitch. I did not include this because it’s not how I designed my Dandelion Beanie Crochet Pattern.
