Two weeks ago, a college friend came to me and asked if I could make a poncho for her daughter–the poncho’s namesake. Had I made a poncho before, or a garment other than scarves or hats? No. But what a fun challenge to take on! After a little searching, I found this pattern. It looked pretty similar to the picture my friend sent me so I gave it a go. At first I was very unsure of how it would look. With a little amending to the pattern, and starting over a few times, it came out perfect. I couldn’t imagine a more precious poncho for a two year old. Thank you, Anne, for asking me to make Q a poncho! It was a fun challenge, and inspired me to make another in the future.
